What I am gonna talk about is my hair routine. It is called the No Poo Do. I haven’t used commercial “normal” shampoo in my hair over two years. I use natural shampoo bars that are absolutely, 100%, natural. And then, I condition my hair with vinegar. Normal shampoo is basically like if you were putting detergent in your hair.(Sodium laureth sulfate &sodium lauryl sulfate that are in your shampoo are for example used as garage floor cleaners ) But in fact, it wasn't until the 1930s that the first modern shampoo was introduced. They did not even used shampoo, they have been using baking soda and they were rising with vinegar. Then they went to shampoo. They created like commercial shampoo; people began using it, they beginning creating the recommended time when you should be using shampoo. They washed it, then it became like a vicious circle because the next day it won’t look good anymore; In order to regain the oils lost to the shampoo , your scalp will go into overdrive to create more oils. So you have to wash it more and more, until you have to wash it every single day. They also invented the conditioner that is because normal shampoo they were selling was drying people’s hair. Before I got to the no-shampoo-do, I was washing my hair like every single day; my hair was greasy, dry at the ends and without volume. Now I wash my hair once a week with natural shampoo. Now my hair are not greasy anymore and grows very fast. But when you go into the no-poo routine , your hair goes to a transition period, it can take up to a month ; because your hair has to get rid of all the chemical .
